If parents groups were up in arms about Miley Cyrus writhing around on a bed in the Who Owns My Heart vid, imagine the kind of badgering they’ll be dishing out now that Ms Cyrus has been caught on camera doing drugs!
On Friday, TMZ published a video of Miley hitting the bong in the company of friends five days after her 18th birthday. And while it’s believed that Miley wasn’t smoking cannabis but salvia divinorum, here’re a couple of things to take note of:
* Salvia is not, at present, considered a drug in many parts of the United States and world
* Nevertheless, the “popular” herb’s hallucinogenic properties and effects make it almost similar to LSD
* Even though it is legal in most parts of the world, Australia and Germany consider salvia enough of a threat to society to have declared it a drug and illegal.
* Australia considers salvia to be in the same class of drugs as cannabis.
Miley herself has yet to comment on the leaked vid but her father has already expressed his “sadness”. Tweeted Billy Ray just yesterday:
Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I’m so sad. There is much beyond my control right now.
We guess he means Miley really can’t be tamed now that she’s 18.
